Today, I’m going to show you how to stop Android apps from using your mobile data by disabling background data usage. This is especially useful if you’re on a limited data promo, like 1 gig of data for 2 to 3 days. Ready to save some data? Let’s get started!

This tutorial is all about preventing background data usage by disabling it for specific apps on your Android phone. This way, you can ensure your data lasts longer and is used only when you want it to be.

How To Stop Android Apps From Using Your Mobile Data

  1. Go to Settings:
  • Open the “Settings” app on your Android phone.
  1. Navigate to Data Usage:
  • Tap on “Network & internet” or “Connections,” depending on your phone model.
  • Select “Data usage.”
  1. View App Data Usage:
  • Tap on “Mobile data usage” to see a list of apps and their data consumption.
  1. Select the App:
  • Choose the app you want to prevent from using background data.
  1. Disable Background Data:
  • Toggle off the “Background data” switch. This will prevent the app from using mobile data in the background.
